When I was a little girl, my parents would take me to this art show, not far from where I grew up. We would wander the show and my parents would often find prints and such that they would take home. Even then I enjoyed art shows. This show has always been a goal of mine. It's very difficult to be accepted. Many artists apply.
I was not accepted again this year. I will keep trying though.
I also decided not to do Morning Glory Art Show. This isn't a reflection on the show. Thank you for the opportunity, and I will probably apply again next year. This year though, art shows are going to be suffering. Don't make me say it. I try to keep things positive on this blog, but doing art shows is always a gamble. You have no control over the weather, customers, or the show promoters. Now you have more variables thrown in.
Good luck to the road warriors (many without health insurance) who travel each weekend trying to sell their art. It's a hard life that just got harder.
