One of the reasons I like being in this gallery is Susan Corkum. Instead of just having a first anniversary party, she is having a disco prom party. Many of us are looking for 70s prom dresses. Mine from the 1970s sure ain't gonna fit no more!
I'm going to be designing the invite for the party in October, and I have been reviewing the music of the time. Earth, Wind and Fire is still a guilty pleasure; Free Bird and Smoke on the Water remind me of the times I cruised Main with my high school boyfriend.
There is alot of other music too that I am going to try to find: Bee Gees, BTO; Foreigner is going to be at State Fair Park on Thursday opening night, Chicago, and I think my high school prom theme was Nights in White Satin, Moody Blues. Disco queen Donna Summers will be represented also.
